Amber Bram given bridal shower at WCEC

A bridal shower honoring Amber Bram was held from 10 a.m. -noon, Saturday, April 5 at Wharton County Electric Coop's Thomas Edison Room.

Forty-four hostesses presented the bride-to-be with a set of Magnalite pots and place setting of her pottery, silverware and crystal glass.

Tables were decorated in spring colors with fresh flower arrangements. The registration table held the guest book, engagement photograph and a Willow Tree figurine "Promise."

Amber's aunt, Patsy Barosh, read a poem entitled "Recipe for Happiness," the same poem that was read to Amber's mother at her bridal shower 32 years ago.

Refreshments consisted of miniature cinnamon rolls, pigsthe blanket, cheese rolls, quiche, fresh fruit, strawberries, fruit dip, cream puffs, banana punch and coffee.

Special guests were Marian Bram, mother of the bride-to-be; Debbie Cervenka, mother of the future groom; Tillie Smaistrla, Amber's grandmother; Henrietta Popp, Jeremy's grandmother; Alicia Riha, sister of the bride-tobe; Riley Riha, Amber's nephew; and Ami Woodring, Jeremy's sister.

The couple's wedding date is May 31, 2008.
