Out Of Control
El Campo volunteer firefighters raced to the scene of a grass fire on CR 414 at Hwy. 71 last weekend. The small fire had raged out of control and had spread to a stack of discarded tires before firefighters were called to the scene. Even though the county is not under a burn ban, residents are urged to exercise caution when burning - especially on windy days.
