Helen Prater

Helen Prater, 82, of El Campo, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008.

She was born on Oct. 19, 1925 to Glenn and Daisey Southerland Rice, Sr. in Ashville, N.C.

Survivors include her brothers, Glenn Rice Jr. and Donald Rice, both of Palm Bay, Fla., and Robert Rice of Melbourne, Fla.; and sisters, Mary Prim of Coco, Fla., Juanita Yarbough of Melbourne, Fla., Betty Wall and Hazel Corbett both of Thomasville, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Prater; and brother, Charles Rice.

Services will be held at a later date.
