DIAPER SET Lance Zapalac Lance Andrew Zapalac, son of Lawrence Jr. and Kristy Zapalac of East Bernard, was baptized at 10 a.m., Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard. The Rev. Donald Ruppert performed the sacrament of baptism. Lance's godparents are Amy Vacek, aunt, and Bobby Zapalac, uncle. Lance wore a white baptismal jumpsuit with a white Polo undershirt. Following the ceremony, Lance's parents hosted a dinner at their home. A meal of grilled hamburgers was served with chips, dip, assorted appetizers, vegetable tray, deviled eggs and a white baptismal cake with raspberry filling inscribed "God Bless Lance." Special guests were Fred and Barbara Vacek of El Campo, maternal grandparents; Lawrence and Frances Zapalac of Frydek, paternal grandparents; Lucy Kubecka of El Campo, great-grandmother, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Lance received a savings account from his parents, a savings bond from his maternal grandparents, a children's first prayer book and cross from his godmother, cross and religious picture frame from his godfather, first rosary from his paternal grandparents, a children's book, clothing and money. Alex Mendoza Alex Mendoza, son of Alexander and Mirna Mendoza of Danevang, was baptized at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2008 at St. Robert's Catholic Church in El Campo. Deacon Margarito Cervantez Jr. performed the sacrament of baptism. His godparents are Manuel and Alma Torres. Alex wore a white baptismal suit. After the ceremony, his parents hosted a reception and dinner at their home. A special baptismal cake inscribed "In Remembrance of Your Baptism Alex." Special guests were Estephania and Denise, his two sisters; Matilda Mendoza of El Campo and Alexander Mendoza Sr. of Danevang, paternal grandparents; Concepcion Chavez, maternal grandmother; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Alex received many gifts, cards and money. Chesney English Mr. and Mrs. Percy English of El Campo announce the birth of their second child, a daughter named Chesney Rayne English. The baby was born at 4:26 p.m., April 8, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land weighing 8 pounds. She is welcomed home by her sister Paisley English, age 2. Maternal grandparents are Emory and Debbie Bruce of El Campo and the late Cynthia Kay Bruce. Paternal grandparents are Mark and Janel English of El Campo. Great-grandparents are Bernice Wittig and Andrew and Ruby Jean Rod, all of El Campo; and J.P. and Marjorie English of Lake Jackson. The mother is the former Bridget LaShelle Bruce. Ally Espericueta Andy Espericueta and Yesenia Garcia of El Campo announce the birth of their first child, a daughter named Ally Faye Espericueta. The baby was born at 3:40 p.m., April 9, 2008 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, weighing 6 pounds, 1 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Moises and Anselma Garcia. Paternal grandparents are Adan and Sandra Espericueta. Anthony DeLeon Daniel and Norma DeLeon of El Campo announce the birth of their second child, a son named Anthony Kainen DeLeon. The baby was born at 5:59 p.m., April 7, 2008 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, weighing 6 pounds, 10 ounces. Anthony is welcomed home by his brother Daniel Lee DeLeon Jr., age 1. Maternal grandparent is Norma J. Gaona of Wharton. Paternal grandparents are Alvera Olvera and Martin DeLeon. Great-grandparents are Angelina and Baltazar Aldape. The mother is the former Norma Melissa Martinez. Ava Verastegui Joe and Misty Verastegui of Tilden announce the birth of their first child, a daughter named Ava Isabella Verastegui. The baby was born at 4:40 p.m., April 3, 2008 at University Hospital in San Antonio, weighing 6 pounds, 3 ounces, and measuring 19 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Kim and Kentuck Cranek of Nada. Paternal grandparents are Lily and Joe Verastegui of Tilden. Great-grandparents are Tudy Glithero of Schulenburg, the late Charles Glithero and the late Lester and Isabell Cranek. The mother is the former Misty Cranek. Allie Zalman Mr. and Mrs. Jason Zalman of El Campo announce the birth of their third child, a daughter named Allie Marie Zalman. The baby was born at 5:44 p.m., April 2, 2008 at Citizen's Hospital in Victoria, weighing 7 pounds, 5 ounces. She is welcomed home by two brothers: Jebadiah, age 6; and Jase, age 3. Maternal grandmother is Nancy Crosby of Gonzales, La. Paternal grandparents are Joe and Margie Zalman of El Campo. The mother is the former Tisha Marie Murto. |
