DAR hears Wings of Freedom Tour' program

Members of Comfort Wood Chapter, DAR traveled to Victoria Regional Airport Tuesday, April 1 to the Gulf Coast Regent's Council for Texas DAR.

The meeting and luncheon were held at the Sky Restaurant in the airport. The Comfort Wood pineapple bell was used to call the meeting to order by President Donna Johnson, Mary Roth Marsh Chapter of Bay City.

Chaplain Annie Stafford of Comfort Wood led the invocation and Hazel Foltyn of Comfort Wood led the pledge to the Texas Flag.

During lunch there was a jet fly-over performance.

After business, the program was the "Wings of Freedom Tour," which the Guadalupe Victoria, DAR Chapter was sponsoring in Victoria.

On display was a North American B-25 Mitchell, Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and the Consolidated B-24 Liberator. Members climbed in and on the WWII Airplanes, asked questions and took pictures.
