4-H showmanship results announced

On Sunday, April 6, Wharton County 4-H members participated it the annual showmanship contest/clinic in preparation for the approaching 2008 Wharton County Youth Fair.

First place winners are awarded a Belt Buckle. Buckle sponsors were Kevin and Kelli Bannert, Bar Z Ranch, Farmer's Co-op of El Campo, Family Vision Center, First Ag Credit, Wharton Feed & Supply, Brian & Pat Sanders, Louie's Package Store, Bucek Pipe & Steer and VGT Sod. Second and third place prized were sponsored by Farmer's Co-op of El Campo, Lonesome Acres Club Lambs, Caney Valley Cotton, Wharton Vet Clinic, Bayer animal Health and Peter McGuill Family.

Bucket calf exhibitors were Jace Baker-El Campo, Graice Bosch-Wharton, Lana Foyt- Wharton, Makensie Till-El Campo, Tori Arrington-Boling, Kennedy Couvillion-El Campo, Haliey Sanchez-Boling, Peyton Stock-El Campo, Cameron Koudela-Wharton, Layla Bickham-Boling, Colby Bosch- Wharton, Kally Jo Felchman- Johnson-Wharton, Colt Hough- Wharton, Celia Manzia-Boling, Amber Orsak-Wharton, Corey Fults- Boling, Cash Ricci-Ott- Boling, Sierra Rodriguez-El Campo, and Blake Sanchez- Boling.

Junior beef exhibitor first place was Brooke Wallace-Wharton and 2nd place was Merle Hinze- Wharton.

Intermediate beef exhibitors were first place Shelby Stolle- Wharton, second place Jessica Rome-Wharton, third place Katie Reyna-Wharton, Cody Koudela- Wharton, Kirstin Miller-Boling and Briana Stanford-Wharton.

Senior beef exhibitors were first place Laura Reyna-Wharton, second place Brett Wallace- El Campo, third place Chris Martin- Wharton, Michael Orsak-El Campo, Nicki Sablatura-El Campo, Linda Cerny-El Campo, and Curtis Stanford-Wharton.

Junior goat exhibitors were first place Kyler Couvillion-El Campo, second place Brooke Wallace-Wharton, third place Merle Hinze-Wharton, Cade Bickham-Boling, and Chase Stary-El Campo.

Intermediate goat exhibitors were first place Shelby Bock- Boling, second place Shelby Stary- El Campo, third place Wyatt Hinze-Wharton, Kori Couvillion- El Campo, Taylor Hernandez-El Campo, Madison Cline-Wharton, Lauren Herrmann-El Campo, Devynn Nash-Boling, Briana Stanford-Wharton, and Sean Mahoney-El Campo.

Senior goat exhibitors were first place Matt Hinze-Wharton, second place Taylor Cline- Wharton, third place Katie Herrmann-El Campo, Brett Wallace-Wharton, Kara Witzkoski- Wharton, Stephanie Mahoney-El Campo, Seth Roach-Wharton, Curtis Stanford- Wharton, and Heather Graham-El Campo.

Junior sheep exhibitors were first place Kaylor Rolf-Wharton, second place Sydney Stolle- Wharton, third place Regan McGuill-El Campo, Zane Baker- El Campo, Kelly Salyer- Wharton, Katie Toomes-Wharton, and Caroline Gavranovic-Wharton.

Intermediate sheep exhibitors were first place Caleb Reed-Egypt, second place Wyatt Hinze-Wharton, third place Haley Garza-Wharton, Riley Henderson-Wharton, and Jonathon Toomes-Wharton.

Senior sheep exhibitors were first place Heather Graham-El Campo, second place Shayla Smith-El Campo and third place Chris Martin-Wharton.

Junior swine exhibitors were first place Regan McGuill-El Campo and Matthew Wilkins- El Campo was second.

Intermediate swine exhibitors were first place Christina Stehno-El Campo, second place Kari Wilkins-El Campo and third place Angel Rodriguez-El Campo.
