Nada CDA hears program from Father Boateng-Mensah

The regular meeting of Court Our Lady of the Rosary No.1595, Nada met on Tuesday, April 8 at St. Mary's Parish Hall in Nada. Regent Anita Meismer welcomed Father Tony Boateng- Mensah, District Deputy Darice Miksch and all the members attending.

Vice regent Bernita Korenek led the opening prayer and ode. Helen Noteboom led the pledge to the U.S. and Texas flags. The secretary's report was given by Virginia Pavlovsky and the treasurer's report was given by Marilyn Popp. Barbara Leopold read the financial secretary's report.

Reports from committee members were also heard. Education chairwoman Lorrie Korenek reported on the education contest sponsored by the court. The winners were adult poetry first place- Anita Meismera nd poster contest: first place- Tucker Korenek, second place- Kelsey Janow and third place- Austin Dota.

It was announced that the next domino party sponsored by the court will be held on April 30, at 2 p.m.

Father Tony spoke on the importance of women in our society. He said many recognize if women of a nation were destroyed a whole nation would be wiped out.

The meeting closed with a prayer for vocations and religious life. Following the meeting a financial review was conducted by Monica Staff, Mabel Beard and Janie Mae Popp.

Refreshments were served to all attending by hostesses Martha Shimek, Linda Swoboda, Mary Till, Pat Wobbe and Edna Shimek.
