Placed In Honor Of
Members of the El Campo Middle School Student Council honored past and present members of the Armed Forces Friday morning. Student Body President Adrian Piloto and Vice President Chance Nohavitza spoke to the crowd of about 100 while eighth grade Student Council representative Sarah Supak sang "God Bless America." ECMS coach Kevin Gordon led the prayer. Two yellow ribbons were placed on the school's flagpole, one in honor of Wesley Arrambide and the other in honor of all men and women who have or are serving our country. Arrambide is the son of Lucy Arrambide, a long-time employee at ECMS. Shown placing the ribbons on the flagpole with Arrambide are her husband Mauro, ECMS Principal Rodney Montello and eighth grade Student Council representative Cullen Schoener. Wesley is a 2004 graduate of ECHS. He is a 1st Class Airman in the United States Air Force stationed at F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, Wy. He's a member of the 90th Missile Security Forces Squadron who were assigned to an eight to twelve month assignment at Camp Bucca in Iraq.
