DAVID'S SONG
The Texas Gospel Music Barn Ministries invites everyone to come enjoy an evening of great Gospel music with a concert featuring David's Song at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Palacios, located at 209 Lucas. Admission is free.

What do you get when you mix an award-winning piano playing tenor from Indianapolis, Ind., a smooth-voiced baritone from Alma, Mich., and a smiling lead singer from Homer, La.?

You get one of the newest groups emerging on the scene in Southern gospel music, David's Song - David McKain, David Huffine and David Fowler, all former members of Jericho Road Quartet.

In 2005, he was named Musician of the Year by the South Texas Gospel Music Association. McKain and his family live in the Tyler area.

Huffine was born in Alma, Mich., moved to Texas and attended Dallas Christian College. While there, he was a founding member of the Master's Four Quartet, which later became known as the Texans. Huffine was music minister for 27 years. He also founded the Priority Quartet and sang with Jericho Road Quartet for a year and a half. Huffine sings baritone and lives in Tyler.

Fowler was born in Homer, La. where he still lives today. He has sung in several local and regional groups and was a founding member of the group New Covenant. He was music minister for six years at Calvary Baptist Church in Homer, La. before joining Jericho Road Quartet in 2004. Fowler sings lead for the group.
