Dancing Full Circle
Encircled in this folk dance called "Jämpt," the Scandinavian Dancers of Houston show off their skills and the men their strength as they lift the women up and dance in a circle. The dancers were invited to perform at a Danevang celebration of Margrethe II's birthday, the queen of Denmark who was born April 16, 1940. Visitors and the Danevang community gathered Saturday at the Lutheran Church and Meeting House for some good food, entertainment and a car show. Dancers (clockwise starting with lady wearing white wreath headdress) are Patricia Tibbits, Chris Broad, Inger Turbyfill, Zenon Llanos, Ingrid Llanos, Don Turbyfill, Sally Phillips, Howard Phillips, Agneta Fält and Lars Fält.
