Hawaiian party held for Hanni Wissinger

A luau-themed bridal shower honoring Hanni Wissinger, bride-elect of Brandon Mican, was held from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, April 19 at the home of Marie Hrncir.

Hostesses were Marie Hrncir, Beth Young, Carol Barbee, Nova Lane, Sharon Rappold, Cindy McClure, Nancy Cochran and Denise Couey.

Tables were decorated with fresh hibiscus flowers, Hawaiian leis and pink flamingos. The registration table held the guest book, pictures of the couple and childhood photos of the bride-to-be.

Each guest was asked to write down advice for a long and happy marriage, which was then compiled into a booklet for the bride-to-be.

The honoree and guests were served a Hawaiian-themed cake decorated with palm trees, along with tropical fruit punch, fruit kabobs, stuffed mushrooms, spinach dip, mints and nuts.

Special guests were Anna Wissinger, mother of the brideto be; Georgia Mican, mother of the future groom; Christine Wissinger, Hanni's grandmother; Elaine Bain Long and Eleanor Mican, Brandon's grandmothers; Ellen Peguero and Sharon Fonke, Hanni's aunts; Debra Bolcik, Brandon's aunt; and Mary Wissinger, Hanni's sister.

Hostesses presented the honoree with dishes from her pottery selection.

Hanni and Brandon's wedding date is set for June 28, 2008.
