Lady 'Birds make playoffs, get Angleton

      The Lady' Birds are rolling into the post season again and they will face a familiar foe - Angleton. Last year, the Lady Wildcats ousted El Campo in the first round in a best of three series. This time, it will be one and done between the two rivals.

Van Sant to coach Class 5-A

      Wharton Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Gary Van Sant is taking steps to fulfill a dream. Van Sant tendered his resignation from the WISD last Friday to accept a coaching position with Class 5A Tomball.
