Earth Day - Dig It?
Myatt Elementary students and faculty celebrated Earth Day Tuesday, April 22, by planting four fruit trees. The teachers chose one of four planting times to join in helping plant a tree, discuss the oxygen cycle, the need for plants to create oxygen and to acknowledge human's role in helping the earth be a better place to live. Pictured here is Linda Weisner planting an orange tree while students add dirt around the roots. The Myatt garden is currently in the process of being certified as a natural backyard habit.
