Junot's Garden Eye-Catching
Standing outside her home on 925 N. Liberty, Patsy Junot has been selected as the first recipient of the IMUD Yard Award. Junot, who has lived at her present home for the past 43 years, believes in regular maintenance and planting seasonal flowers to provide a variety of color throughout her yard. She loves roses, and says geraniums are easy to grow. "Roses are a lot of maintenance and the winter is always hard on them. They are both very colorful," she said. Her son Russell Junot, who lives with her, assists with mowing the yard. IMUD representatives made the selection based on the yard's neat and clean appearance and attractiveness from the street.
