Christensen joins national honor society at TAMU
Chloe Christensen has been named to a horticulture honor society at Texas A&M University in College Station where she has a 3.35 grade point average.
Pi Alpha Xi, the national honor society for horticulture, held its initiation ceremony Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Memorial Student Center on the A&M campus where Christensen was a participant.
To be invited to become a member of Pi Alpha Xi, a student must be a junior with a graduate point average of at least a 3.25.
Christensen, the daughter of Kenneth and Anita Christensen of Danevang is a home-schooled 2005 graduate majoring in horticulture at A&M.
Blake Mican to attend aeronautical university
Blake Mican, a 2007 El Campo High School graduate, has been accepted to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Az. in the fall of 2008. He will study aeronautical science.
Mican is the son of Anthony and Kathy Mican.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the world's largest, fully accredited university specializing in aviation and aerospace, offers more than 30 degree programs in is colleges of arts and sciences, aviation, business and engineering.
