Javier and Sarah Martinez of El Campo announce the birth of their first child, a daughter named Mayleigh Rae Martinez. The baby was born at 9:21 a.m., April 15, 2008 at Women's Hospital of Texas in Houston, weighing 3 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 16 1/2 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Mike and Colleen Reid of El Campo. Paternal grandparents are Javier and Eluteria Martinez of El Campo.

Great-grandparents are Elizabeth Reid of El Campo, Ken Bourland of Plano, Silvero Martinez of Mexico and Francisco Padilla of Mexico.

The mother is the former Sarah Anne Reid.
