E.C. Girl Now Rangerette
The ECHS Derby Dolls recently attended the famous Kilgore College's Rangerette Revels Spring Show. They are shown in a picture with Jackie Rodriguez, a current Kilgore Rangerette, and a graduate of El Campo High School. Rodriguez led the girls on tour of the campus and dorms. The girls enjoyed a dinner given by the Rangerettes and then dressed up for the show, "Lost in the Library." The Kilgore College Rangerettes were the first drill team started in 1939 by Gussie Nell Davis. The Derby Doll drill team started in 1969 by Pat Clark and were modeled after the Rangerettes.
