FAMILY REUNION

Gathering for the John and Josephine Orsak Strnadel reunion Sunday, April 27, were 128 descendants. The family reunion was held at St. Andrew's Parish Hall in Hillje. A Mass at 10 a.m. was offered for the living and deceased family members at St. Andrew's Catholic Church.

Several family members gathered Saturday at R.J. Strnadel's to prepare for the Sunday morning noon meal of barbecued chicken, pork, beef and sausage, giblet rice, beans, sweet onions and salad. Everyone enjoyed the many assorted desserts brought by family members.

A short business meeting followed the meal, as well as a drawing for prizes.

Recognition was given for the only surviving daughter-inlaw of the second generation, Rita Strnadel; and the youngest in attendance, Braxton Rod (four-months). All members enjoyed the afternoon visiting and dancing to the music of Richard Staha.
