'Pete' Boysen

H. C. "Pete" Boysen Jr., 80, of El Campo, died Sunday, April 27, 2008.

He was born on Dec. 30, 1927 in Yoakum to Helmut Carl Boysen Sr. and Elsie Kruse Boysen. He had worked many years at the family business, Boysen's Grocery, and retired as an oil field superintendent.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

His daughter, Jo Etta Biggerstaff of El Campo, grandsons Blake Biggerstaff and Brandon Boysen, and one great-grandson survive him.

His wife, Jo Ann Wigginton Boysen, son H.C. "Dickie" Boysen III and son-in-law Billy Jack Biggerstaff preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be today, Wednesday, April 30 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joyce McCormick officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Bob Wilkins, Craig Hathway, Jimmy George, Charles Petersen, Gabe Kulhanek and Jay Paul Wigginton.

Honorary pallbearers are Marshall "Red" Foster, Billy Drapela, David Kunz and Calvin Slaughter.

Memorials in memory of H.C. "Pete" Boysen Jr. may be made to the First United Methodist Church Youth Ministry, 1001 Avenue I, El Campo, Texas 77437.
