Police Blotter City Arrests Alcohol, drugs Christopher Mikkel Montalvo, 21, of 1801 Byrne was arrested at 3:04 a.m. Tuesday, April 29 on a charge of driving while intoxicated, after allegedly driving off the road into the grass, then hitting a curb, all in front of a police officer who had someone else pulled over. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail and released at 10:15 a.m. the same day on $2,500 bond. David Orozco-Padilla, 18, of 1415 E. Jackson was arrested at 11:20 a.m. Thursday, May 1 on a charge of possession of 2 ounces or less of marijuana and a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police report they were looking for Orozco- Padilla and allegedly saw him with a packed suitcase, getting into a car with Diana Briano-Davila. The arrest report states he was detained after a brief struggle, and marijuana was found in the vehicle. Briano-Davila, 20, of 203 Orange in Louise was arrested at the same time on charges of hindering apprehension of a known felon, possession of 2 ounces or less of marijuana, no insurance and no driver's license. Both were transferred to county jail the next day. Property Theresa June Blackford, 49, of La Grange was arrested at 1:40 p.m. Monday, April 28 on a Bastrop County warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was held on $10,000 bond as of 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1. Belinda Ann Cadriel, 31, of 513 E. Milam in Wharton was arrested at 12:48 a.m. Tuesday, April 29 on warrants for issuance of a bad check and criminal mischief. She remained in custody at presstime. Violence, weapons Jeffrey James Janecka, 36, of 505 Depot was arrested at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 30 on a warrant for assault family violence. He was released the same day after paying a $466.75 fine. Jerimiah Amos Rincon, 18, of 405 Oscar was arrested at 2:59 p.m. Thursday, May 1 on warrants for sexual assault of a child and probation violation. He was transferred to county jail the next day. Jose Luis Ochoa, 21, of 512 E. Church was arrested at 7:57 p.m. Wednesday, April 30 on a warrant for violating a protective order. He was released at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, May 1 on $5,000 bond. Other Danielle Renea Rodriguez, 19, of 509 Roth was arrested at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 29 on warrants for criminal trespass, no valid driver's license, no insurance, failure to signal intent, minor in possession of tobacco and disorderly conduct - language. She was held as of 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1. Bennie Earl Miller, 26, of Houston was arrested at 8:53 a.m. Tuesday, April 29 on warrants for failure to appear, no insurance and violating the driver's license restriction requiring glasses. He was released the same day on $889.25 bond. Scott Michael Valcik, 28, of Palacios was arrested at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 29 on warrants for issuance of a bad check, contempt of court, public intoxication, speeding and expired driver's license. Cardoza, 27, of 910 Flax was booked Tuesday, April 29 on a warrant for intoxicated assault. He was released at 10:15 a.m. the same day on $10,000 bond. Property Max G. Bustamante Jr., 43, of 1405 Barbara was booked at 8:37 a.m. Thursday, May 1 on a theft warrant. He was held on $1,500 bond as of 11 a.m. the same day. Other Erwin Armstrong, 30, of 811 N. Liberty was booked at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 29 for tampering with physical evidence. He was released at 6 p.m. the same day on $7,000 bond.
