CDA No. 1374 sponsors education contest, announces winning entries

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Our Lady Queen of Peace No. 1374 in El Campo recognized winners of their education contest prior to their meeting Monday, April 21.

Carol Turner, contest chairwoman, and Renee Beery, regent, presented awards to first through third place winners. Students competed in six categories: poster, poetry, essay, photography, computer art and art.

Winners listed in order from first, second and third are as follows:

Poster

Division I - Roma Thornton, Helena Triska and Clayton Harp.

Division II - Kacey Knesek and Taylor Fuechec.

Poetry

Division I - Isaac Kresta, Kristy Janak, Ridge Whitley.

Division II - Rebecca Korenek, Stephanie Janak and Kary Wilkins.

Division III - Courtney Janak.

Essay

Division I - Jacob Warschak. Division II - Matt Edwards and Paige Sparks.

Photography

Division II - Alexis Cooper, Kathryn Hancock and Shelby Stary.

Computer Art

Division I - E.J. Johnson, Matthew Wilkins and Hannah Schoppe.

Division II - Michaela Thornton.

Art
