Aurora Castillo Garcia, 79, of El Campo, died Sunday, May 4, 2008.

She was born Aug. 24, 1928 in Karnes City to Victor and Simona Vasquez Castillo. She worked at IC Manufacturing for 17 years in housekeeping.

Survivors include her daughters, Janie Llanes, Ninfa Orta, Grace Casarez and Flora Nedbalek, all of El Campo; sons, Domingo Garcia Jr. of El Campo, David Garcia Sr. of Houston, Daniel Garcia Sr. of El Campo and Louis Garcia Sr. of Angleton; three sisters; 31 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Domingo Garcia Sr., daughter, Carmen Espinosa; grandson, Jimmy Llanes; great-grandson, Primitivo Llanes Jr.; four brothers; and one sister.

A parish rosary was offered Monday, May 5 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass was held Tuesday, May 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Robert's Catholic Church. Interment followed at Holy Cross Memorial Park under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were Domingo Garcia III, Rogelio Guerra Jr., Daniel Garcia Jr., Raymond Garcia Jr., Michael Herrera, Matthew Casarez, Jason Camacho and Louis Garcia Jr.

Honorary pallbearers were Gino Casarez, Johnny Guerra, David Garcia Jr., Francisco Herrera, Jonathan Garcia, Nicholas Garcia and Tony Garcia.
