Geraldine Peter

Geraldine J. Peter, 86, of El Campo, died Monday, May 5, 2008.

She was born on Feb. 19, 1922 in Floresville to Tomas and Frances Sisak Novak. She was retired after 26 years from the school cafeteria at Hutchins Elementary.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Peter and Sylvia Peter both of El Campo; sons, Anton Peter Jr. and wife Jean of Wharton, Frankie Peter and wife Judy of El Campo, Norman Peter and wife Marian of El Campo and Bobby Peter and wife Anna of El Campo; five grandchildren, Glenda Peter, Stephanie Schulz, Jason Peter, Sara Autenrieth and Carrie Watts; three great grandchildren, Jaci Williams, Shannon Schulz and Lane Schulz; brother, Thomas Novak of Floresville; and sister, Frances Kappelmann of San Antonio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton Peter Sr.; and brother, Louis Novak.

A wake service was held Tuesday, May 6 at 7 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral services will be today, Wednesday at 3 p.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her children and grandchildren.
