Blackstock & Womack wed in outdoor ceremony

Bridget Ann Blackstock and Steven Roy Womack exchanged vows during an outdoor wedding ceremony at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 10, 2008 in Boling. Linda Sober performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of James and Vickie Padgett. Parents of the groom are Terrell and Joyce Womack.

For the outdoor scenery, the stage was accented with bluebonnets, daisies and Indian paint brushes.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a beaded halfsleeved dress with a swirl of beads tapering in the front. The train was embellished with beads and tear-drop cut-outs. The bride wore cowboy boots beneath her gown and wore a headpiece in which the top and veil were covered all over in navy blue flowers. She carried a bouquet of wildflowers, including bluebonnets, Indian paint brushes and white daisies with a single sunflower in the middle. The bouquet was tied off with raffia.

Matron of honor was Misty Kuykendall of Needville, sister of the bride. Maid of honor was Jamie Weist of Rosenberg, childhood friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Terri Sulak of Louise, sister of the groom; and Amber Bialas of Boling, friend of the bride.

Attendants wore cocoa brown gowns with antique white accents and white sandals. They carried a bouquet of bluebonnets, Indian paint brushes and white daisies tied with raffia ribbons.

Jimmy Capps of Boling, friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Alan Dincans of Louise and Dustin David of El Campo, childhood friends of the groom; and John Delgado of Boling, friend of the groom.

Candlelighters were the parents of the couple. Witnesses were Gloria Wells, grandmother of the bride; and Roseann Mitchell, groom's godmother. Program attendants were Savannah Durham, niece of the bride; and Tyler Sulak, nephew of the groom.

A reception followed at the Boling Community Center.

Rehearsal dinner was held at the Boling Community Center Friday evening, May 9.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Needville High School. She is a ladies auxiliary member for the Boling Volunteer Fire Department and works as a veterinary technician for Brazos Bend Animal Hospital in Richmond. The groom is a 2002 graduate of El Campo High School. He is a member of the Boling Volunteer Fire Department and works as a gas compression technician for Valerus Gas Compressions in Victoria.

After a week-long trip to Pennsylvania, the couple will reside in Boling.
