Come & go baby shower held for Kaye Whitington

A come-and-go baby shower honoring Kaye Whitington was held from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, June 22 at the home of Steve and Kim Cooper.

Hostesses were girls that Kaye and her husband Clyde coached throughout the years. They included Alexis Cooper, Kristi Michaelson, Anna Raun, Lauralee Collins, Lindsey Marik, Chelsea Solis, Emily Bergstrom, Angela Fiala and Danielle Smith.

Special guests were Carolyn Foegelle, grandmother-to-be; Reneé Mitchell and Jenifer Foegelle, aunts-to-be; Carson Whitington, big brother-to-be; and Jeanette Socha, greataunt to-be.

Refreshments were a decorated cookie that read: "It's a Boy," chips, cheese dip, sandwiches, fruit tray, vegetable tray, petite fours, punch and tea. Fresh flowers, the baby's book and photos of the pregnant mother and big brother decorated the home.

Kaye's due date is early July.

From the hostesses, she received a $100 Target gift card. Other gifts were money, a Wal- Mart gift card, baby clothes, diapers, wipes, baby essentials, picture frame, bibs, a rattle, socks, a Texas longhorn receiving blankets, first sports bag, bathtub, window shade, teether, John Deere tractor, mumbo seat and sippie cup.
