Baby shower held for McMahan

A baby shower honoring Carrie McMahan was held Saturday, June 28, at the parish hall of St. John's Catholic Church in Taiton.

The tables were covered with white tablecloths and blue streamers. Children's wooden blocks also decorated the tables. Blue, white, green and yellow balloons were placed throughout the hall. A white cake with buttercream icing was decorated in a tropical jungle theme.

Special guests were Terry Rab, grandmother-to-be; Marilyn Chappell and Annie Kacal, great-grandmothers-tobe. Sisters-in-law, aunts, cousins, nieces and friends were there to celebrate the arrival of Carrie's baby.

Hostesses gave Carrie a glider rocker. Carrie received clothes, toys, diapers and assorted baby necessities.

Guests enjoyed games and refreshments of chicken salad sandwiches, vegetables with dip, fruit with dip, cookies and punch.

Carrie is due the end of July.
