Ali Rae Rakowitz & Wesley Everett Sulak wed at St. Philip

Ali Rae Rakowitz and Wesley Everett Sulak were united in marriage at 2 p.m., July 12, 2008 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Father Gary Janak performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Tyanne Rakowitz of Ganado. Parents of the groom are Bill and Frances Sulak of El Campo.
Large floral bouquets of pink daisies, roses, alstromeria, rosanthemums and stargazer lilies were placed in vases with fresh cut limes.
Music was provided by Janice Cox, organist, and Daniel Berglund, cantor. Selections were "I Can Only Imagine," "Breathe," Pachelbel's " Canon in D," "We Give You Thanks," "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," When God Made You" and "Wherever You Go."
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white strapless A-line Maggie Sottero gown with corset closure and beaded embellishments. She wore a white double-tiered mid-length veil and carried a bouquet of multiple shades of pink roses, daisies, alstromeria and rosanthemum.
Maid of honor was Summer Walch of Houston, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Gretchen Rakowitz of Houston, sister-in-law of the bride; Alyssa Johnson of College Station, Kendra Bures and Cheryl Summers of Ganado, all friends of the bride; Meredith Bard of El Campo, bride's cousin; and Katelyn Sulak of Rosenberg, cousin of the groom.
Attendants wore clover green and white two-piece ensembles with a tea-length skirt and coordinating sash. They carried multiple shades of pink roses, daisies and rosanthemums.
Best man was Jason Sulak of El Campo, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Randy Rakowitz of Houston, brother of the bride; Blake Hodges of Detroit, Mich., Brandon Harris of Austin, Chad Torbet of North Richland Hills and Bryan Gold of Kerrville, friends of the groom; and Ross Rakowitz of Ganado, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Brian Blackburn, Brian DeSpain, Kade Eckert and Nicholas Ysa.
Altar server was Drew Sulak. Witnesses were Andy Sulak and Monica Bard. Greeters were Miles Clements and Lauren Ysa.
The reception followed at the El Campo Civic Center. Members of the house party were Katie Harris, Anna Rash, Alicia Maresh and Amy Joyce.
Rehearsal dinner was held at Los Cucos Mexican Restaurant in El Campo.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Ganado High School and a 2007 graduate of Texas A&M University. She is the retail manager for Target. The groom is a 2000 graduate of El Campo High School and a 2002 graduate of Wharton County Junior College. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007. He is employed by Exxon Mobil in information technology.
After a wedding trip to the Sandals Resort in Nassau, Grand Bahama Island, the couple will reside in Kingwood.
