Hubenaks honored with baby shower Sept. 6th

A couples baby shower honoring Brad and Jennifer Hubenak of El Campo was held at 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6 at the El Campo Civic Center's Duson Room.

Twenty-one family members and close friends hosted the party planned by Stacie Hubenak, Brad's sister. Decorations featured a Western and baby motif with farm animals.

Refreshments included sandwiches, chips, dips, fresh fruit, desserts and a cake decorated with farm animals.

Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Hubenak, paternal grandparents-to-be; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bubela, maternal grandparents-to-be; Mrs. A.J. Rutledge and Mrs. Verna Hubenak, great-grandmothers-to-be; and Mr. and Mrs. Ace Alexander, all of El Campo, great-grandparents-to-be; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bubela Sr. of Taiton, great-grandmother-to-be; and future aunts and uncles.

Approximately 75-80 guests attended. The couple received a car seat and stroller combination from the hostesses.

The due date for Brad and Jennifer's baby is Oct. 9.
