Melanie Porter has baby shower at St. John's Hall

Melanie Merta Porter of Katy was honored with a baby shower at St. John's Parish Hall in Taiton Sunday, Sept. 7. Twenty-one hostesses gave the party.

Pink and white decorations with baby dolls and baby animals were incorporated into the theme. A white confectioniced cake read: "Welcome Baby Porter" in pink.

Refreshments included chicken salad sandwiches, ham roll-ups, chips, dips and punch.

Special guests were future grandmothers, Donna Merta of El Campo and Nancy Porter of Sugar Land; and future grandmothers, Ella Merta and Albina Taylor of El Campo.

From the hostesses, the mom-to-be received a valance and two panels of curtains from the Mia selection at Pottery Barn for Kids.
