Expectant mother has baby shower

A baby shower honoring Tammy Smith was held at the Wharton County Electric Coop Thomas Edison Room Saturday morning, Sept. 6. Eighteen hostesses presented Tammy with a Graco stroller and car seat travel system in turquoise and brown.

Party decorations featured the colors of the baby's room: green, yellow and brown. A baby announcement door wreath was displayed in matching colors and a sign-in table held ultrasound photos of the baby.

Refreshments consisted of chicken and ham salad sandwiches, chips, cheese balls and crackers, cheese rolls, dessert, punch and a cake decorated in green, yellow and blue with a baby figurine on top that read: "It's A Boy!"

Special guests were Kathy Tumlinson and Jocelyn Smith, future grandmothers; Gerri Kirchner, future great-grandmother; and Shauna Johse, the baby's future sister; as well as many future aunts, cousins and friends.

Tammy and husband Tony are expecting a baby boy Sept. 26.
