BULLETIN BOARD Louise/Hillje Clean Up Day Louise-Hillje Beautification Organization will have a dump site Saturday, Sept. 20 at 3rd and Market streets across from the Fire Station in Louise from 8 a.m.-12 noon. Accepting plastics, paper, aluminum, glass, cans, small metal objects and household debris. Large appliances, tires and motor oil will not be accepted; however Rice Farmers Coop, 106 Market in El Campo will accept old tires for a fee depending on size, starting at $2.50. The county brush pile in Louise, located by the old county barn will be open for tree limbs and lumber. Any donations will be appreciated as the cost of the dumpster is $180 per load. Volunteers are needed for clean up. TODAY WCYF Steer And Pen of Three Tag-in Steer and Pen of Three tag-in is Sept. 20 from 8-11 a.m. at the Crescent Fairgrounds. Steer weight requirements is a minimum of 525 lbs. but not exceed 775 lbs. Pen of Three weight requirement is a maximum of 725 lbs. Beef Merit Heifer draw will begin at 1 p.m. All exhibitors must pay the remaining cost of their heifer and the $15 entry fee at this time. Derby Doll Mini Clinic A Derby Doll Mini Clinic for ages 4 years through 8th grade is set for Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m.-noon at the El Campo High School practice gym. The cost is $30 per child, $15 for each additional child per family. Registration forms are available at the ECHS principal's office. Papers can be mailed in with payment or you may register at the clinic. T-shirts are guaranteed for dancers registered by Monday, Sept. 29. Heritage Center Clay Shoot The Rotary Club of El Campo and Garwood Sporting Clays are teaming up to raise money for The Heritage Center of El Campo with a sporting days shoot Thursday, Oct. 9 from 3-7 p.m. The $75 entry fee includes 100 targets and a barbecue dinner. Raffle tickets for a $1,300 shotgun are $25 each. Advertising sponsorship signs are available for $300.
