Petrash & Prochaska exchange wedding vows

Samantha Petrash and Jason Prochaska were united in marriage at 2 p.m., Sept. 20, 2008 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. The Rev. Augustine Asante performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Vic and Becky Petrash of El Campo. Parents of the groom are Robert and Annette Prochaska of El Campo.
Music was provided by Cynthia Goerig, organist, and Carol Smolik, soloist. Selections included "The Wedding Song," "El Shaddai," "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," "Canon in D," "Blessed Are Those Who Love You," "Bridal Prayer," "How Beautiful" and "Trumpet Tune."
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a strapless Maggie Sottero ivory A-line gown with a corset back. The bodice of ruched tulle featured a beaded neckline. Lace also adorned the dropped waist and encircled the hem of the circular skirt. She wore a Swarovski crystal headpiece with a fingertip-length ivory veil with silver pencil edging. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies wrapped in ivory ribbon. Entwined in the bouquet were the engagement rings of the bride and groom's grandmothers.
Jennifer Petrash of Houston, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Claressa George of Houston, Kristie Harton of Austin, Laura Motal of El Campo, Nicole Joines of Richmond, Robin Waters of Wharton and Kassie Brown of Bryan, friends of the groom; and Heather Mican of Houston, cousin of the bride.
Attendants wore a strapless tea-length dress with ruched bodice in patina green. To complete their attire, they wore silver shoes with a crystal brooch. Their bouquets were comprised of a mixture of roses, lilies, English ivy, alstromeria, motsamotos buttons and salidago in spring colors.
Ring bearers were Harrison Lee and Preston Lee, cousins of the bride.
Best man was the brother of the groom, Ryan Prochaska of San Antonio. Groomsmen were Chad Hensley and Jackson Motal of El Campo, friends of the groom; Garrett Prochaska of Austin, brother of the groom; Shawn Ladewig of Houston, Matt Glaze of Victoria, Joshua Cotton of Austin and Jess Glaze of Houston, all friends of the groom.
Ushers were Bart Bacak of El Campo and Luke Joines of Richmond, friends of the groom.
Altar servers were Eli and Isaac Kresta. Reader was Dan Key, cousin of the groom. Offertory gifts were presented by the Josh Glaze family. Eucharistic ministers were Richard and Claudia Raun and Mary Kay Price. Program attendants were Britni Newlin and Averi Glaze. Wedding coordinator was Kendra Charbula.
A reception, dinner and dance followed at Crescent Hall. Members of the house party were Kathy Mican, Lynn Fucik, Debbie Newlin, Laurie Janak, Charlene Klekar, Janice Klekar, Linda Klekar and Mary Jo Klekar. Grand march leaders were Slade and Alicia Stary.
Rehearsal dinner was held at the El Campo Country Club.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of El Campo High School and a 2006 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. She is a fund accountant for Hawkeye Partners.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of El Campo High School and a 2001 graduate of Wharton County Junior College. He is an engineering technician for Moody Engineering.
After a wedding trip to The Bahamas, the couple will reside in Austin.
