Alexis Paris has first birthday party

Alexis Yvonne Paris celebrated her first birthday Sunday, Sept. 21 at the home of her grandparents, Nana and Popo (Victor and Shirley Balchar), 1601 Byrne St. Her actual birthday is Friday, Sept. 26. She is the daughter of Daniel and Victoria Paris.

A Tinkerbelle themed party was carried outo with party decorations of pink, purple and green tablecloths, balloons and a Tinkerbelle decorated cake.

The menu consisted of barbecue chicken, roast, sausage, ribs, pork steak, green beans, corn and potato salad. Various desserts and dips were served along with her cake.

Special guests were her dad and her godmother, Heather Valchar of College Station. Other guests were Martha Bubela and Mary Valchar; great-grandmothers; Krysta and Ty Bubela, cousins; future cousin Megan Smith, who is the bride-elect of Garret Bubela. Also attending, her uncles and aunts,Tristan Valchar, Kathy and Kallen Bubela, Richard and Anna Svrcek and Raymond Valchar and friend Vicky Blair. Others guests included her friends: Cedrick Kimble, Mr. and Mrs. Josh Kocurek and Kaleigh, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Konarik and Russell and Jolie, Krysta Thonsgaard and Craig Staff.

Alexis received money, clothes, books and various toys.
