Couples baby shower held for Scott & Kendra Charbula

Scott and Kendra Charbula, who are expecting a baby Dec. 3, were given a couples baby shower at 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4 at the home of Duane and Michelle Korenek, 2414 Wilson Rd.

The 28 couples who hosted the party were family members and friends of the couple.

Tables were decorated with floral arrangements in baby decorative vases that included baby items. The registration table held a floral arrangement along with the baby book and a photograph of the parents-to-be as babies and sonogram pictures of the baby-tobe.

Various appetizers, barbecue, salad, baked beans and a white cake with pineapple filling decorated and inscribed with "Welcome Baby Charbula" were served.

Special guests were Shirley Popp, maternal grandmother-to-be; LaVerne Charbula, paternal grandmother-to-be; and Ruby Popp, maternal great-grandmother-to-be.

From the hostesses, the couple received an Evenflo Euro Trek Travel System, diaper bag, bottles, bibs and assorted toys.
