Maternal grandparents are Debbie and Eugene Bubela Jr. of El Campo. Paternal grandparents are Debbie and Tommie Hubenak of El Campo.

Great-grandparents are Bernice and Walter Pat Alexander, Leona and Eugene Bubela Sr., Evelyn Rutledge and the late A.J. "Red" Rutledge and Verna Hubenak and the late J.V. Hubenak.

The mother is the former Jennifer Salee Bubela.

Joe Huerta II

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Louis Huerta of Wharton announce the birth of their first child, a son named Joe Louis Huerta II. The baby was born at 8:16 a.m., Oct. 7, 2008 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, weighing 6 pounds, 11 ounces.

He is welcomed home by two brothers and three sisters: Augustine Mendoza Jr., age 17; Joe Andrew Garcia, age 17; Lisa Marie Huerta, age 13; Ashley Elizabeth Mendoza, age 12; and Victoria Leeann Huerta, age 11.

Maternal grandparents are Danacio and Elida Soto of El Campo. Paternal grandparents are Richard and Santos Rodriguez and Louis Huerta of Wharton.

The mother is the former Rafaila Soto.

Dean Spring

Crystal Renee Spring of El Campo announces the birth of her first child, a son named Dean Matthew Spring. The baby was born at 2:23 a.m., Oct. 7, 2008 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, weighing 5 pounds, 12 ounces.

Maternal grandparents are William and Cheryl Spring of El Campo.
