Ashley Rives & Joseph Barnes recite wedding vows

Ashley Marie Rives and Joseph Bradley Barnes were united in marriage at 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 at Bible Truth Church in El Campo. The Rev. Larry T. Smith performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Lori and Elbert Rives Jr. of El Campo.
Parents of the groom are Amy Christopher of Delores, Colo. and Joseph Barnes of Marble Falls.
Isaac Atwood served as organist and vocalist. Other vocalists were Iesha Monroe and Brittany Rives. Selections were "At Last," Canon in D," "Isn't It Romantic" and "Heaven."
The bride was escorted by her father. Her sister, Brittany Rives of El Campo, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kari Rives of El Campo, sister of the bride; April Collins of Houston and Wendy Zalman of Overton, cousins of the bride; and Niesha Hudlin of El Campo, Shalaine Smith of San Antonio, Jayci Giaconne of College Station, Melinda Drastata of El Campo and Marissa Gonzales of San Antonio, friends of the bride.
Flower girls were Mikayla Zalman, cousin of the bride; and Cheyanne Herrera, friend of the bride. John Thomas Rives, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.
Douglas Hart of Marble Falls, friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Jonathan Campozano of Marble Falls, Christopher Barnes of Marble Falls, Benjamin Ward and Daniel Ward of Big Springs, brothers of the groom; Richard Pascal of Marble Falls, William McCune of Fort Worth and Ismael Rodriguez of Dallas, friends of the groom; and Raymond Christopher of Marble Falls, the groom's uncle.
Ushers were Michael Collins and Matthew Hudlin.
Witnesses were Brittany Rives and Douglas Hart.
Scripture readings were done by Samuel Rives and Kathleen Nelson.
A reception followed at the El Campo Civic Center. Members of the house party were Lauren McClure, Linda Tompkins, Karen Wood, Meredith Zalman, Nicole Hudlin and Amanda Herrera.
Rehearsal dinner was held at Casa Hernandez Friday evening.
The bride graduated from El Campo High School in 2004 and Texas A&M University in 2008. She is working on her alternative certification. The groom graduated from Marble Falls High School in 2004 and Texas A&M University in 2008. He is an industrial engineer at Sercel Inc.
After a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple will reside in El Campo.
