Sara Weathers given baby shower at Lurker's home Sara Weathers was honored with a come and go baby shower on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the home of Joanne Lurker, 1110 Meadow Creek Drive. Also hosting the shower were Mary Kay Price and Kim Couvillion. The honoree and her mother received corsages of white daisies, pink miniature daisies and carnations accented with a pink teddy bear, diaper pens and rattle. The registry table in the foyer held the baby's book, and pictures of the parents-to-be. The coffee table in the den displayed the ultrasound picture, baby pictures of the parents-tobe and a stuffed puppy. The food table was covered with a lace cloth accented with a two-tiered diaper cake centered with a vase of pink snapdragons, gerber daisies, baby's breath and fern. The diaper cake consisted of diapers, head bands, hair ribbons, spoons, socks, pacifiers, teether and thermometer. The shower cake was of white flavoring with pineapple filling, edged in pink and white trim, decorated with brightly colored jungle animals and inscribed "Welcome Hannah." Refreshments of breakfast quiche, pigs-in-the-blanket, fresh fruit and dip, and scones were served with punch, orange juice and coffee. The hostess presented Sara and Jeremy with a musical mobile and nursery lamp from the "Jungle Luv" selection as a special gift. Sara and Jeremy's baby girl is due in January 2009. Special guests were Adeline Kasper, future grandmother-tobe, Denise Dorotik, future aunt; Brianna and Bridget Dorotik, future cousins, and Sara's Godmother Karen Jedlicka of Hungerford. Approximately 10 guests attended. |
