Regional Runners

The team advanced on to the regional meet at Lone Star College Nov. 8 where their season ended. Cain earned the top time among the girls with a 12:39 on a 3,200 meter run and finished 30th out of 141 total runners. Janak finished 36th with a 12:42 time, Echeverria took 65th with a 13:12.4 time, Garcia claimed 78th with a 12:32.3 run, Shanice Thomas finished 88th with a time of 13:43.9 and May finished 96th with a 14:04 time. The team combined to finish 10th overall with 226 total points. El Campo's boys team sent Ruben Rivera on to the regional meet also. Rivera finished 49th out of 158 total runners with a time of 17:58.8 on the 5-kilometer course.
