Ricebird Spirit Send Off El Campo High's Ricebirds play Houston Yates at Delmar Stadium in Houston at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22. The Ricebird Moms hold a Send Off Line around 1:30- -1:45 p.m. for the team and everyone is invited to join in. Park in the field behind the stadium/field houses and line the street out and along Pecan Street/the Melanson's house. Ricebird Flags Available at Chamber Office Due to a 31-28 win over Bay City Friday, the Ricebird varsity football team has made the playoffs! Show your team spirit and purchase a Ricebird flag at the El Campo Chamber of Commerce. Flags are $50.

ECISD Lifeskill Holiday Bazaar ECISD's lifeskills classes' Annual Holiday Bazaar is Thursday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Nov. 21 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church, 1401 Ave. I. There will be holiday crafts, baked goods, decorations and gift items.

Catholic Daughters Host Christmas Garage Sale St. Philip's Catholic Daughters of America, Court 1374 hold their annual Christmas garage sale at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 on the West Loop. Barbecued Chicken Benefit A barbecued chicken with all the trimmings benefit is Saturday, Nov. 22 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at St. Roberts Parish Hall. Plates are $6. Drive through at Parish Hall. 8th Grade Washington Trip Bake Sale The El Campo Middle School 8th Grade Washington trip holds a bake sale Saturday, Nov. 22 at both Wal-Mart and Walgreens from 8 a.m.-noon. The 8th grade students will also be on hand selling raffle tickets for a drawing to be held Jan. 28. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each or 6 for $5.

Prairie Switch Riders Host Toy Run The Prairie Switch Riders host a toy run benefiting the children of Wharton County Sunday, Nov. 23. Registration begins at 10 a.m. at the VFW Hall, CR 306 in El Campo. Ride leaves at noon. All bikes and vehicles are welcome. Registration is $20 or a toy of equal value. Food Drive Seeks Contributions The El Campo Area Aggie Moms are participating in the Lack's Trim-A-Tree contest. All Aggies are invited to contribute toward the food drive for the Blessing Cup Storehouse by donating dry goods or money at Lack's in support of the Aggie Tree.

Entertainment Needed For Christmas Mall The 21st Annual Christmas Mall is Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the El Campo Civic Center. The Chamber is looking for entertainment to perform during the two-day event.

Memorial Bricks For Your Veteran Based on requests, American Legion Post 251 is enlarging its Veterans Memorial site to include 160 additional memorial bricks at $100 each.
