Romeo Rodriquez, 25, of 611.5 Bruns was arrested at 1:24 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 for possession of marijuana, driving while license invalid and failure to maintain financial responsibility after being stopped in the 1500 block of West Jackson. Processed, he was transferred to the Wharton County Jail later that morning. Once there, he posted $1,600 in bonds and was released the same day.

Property

Christian Jeremiah Garcia, 17, of 310 Lincoln was arrested at 10:54 p.m. Monday, July 1 on warrants for three counts of burglary of a vehicle. He stands accused of stealing an assortment of baseball equipment from a vehicle in the 500 block of Avenue A as well as a wallet and its contents from a vehicle in the 200 block of Stafford on April 28 and one other burglary. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day. Once there, he posted $4,500 in bonds and was released the next day.

Robert Resendez Jr., 38, of 413 E. Correll was arrested at 2:18 p.m. Tuesday, July 2 on warrants for three counts of forgery of a governmental record. He stands accused of forging documents turned into the unemployment office. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day.

Violence, weapons

Leiha Bre’on Hudlin, 19, of 1506 Fifth in Bay City was arrested at 9:25 a.m. Monday, July 1 on warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and abandoning or endangering a child (placing the child in imminent danger of bodily injury). She stands accused of firing a shot from a vehicle in the 300 block of Alamo on June 16. She was booked directly into the county jail.

Andrew Paul Canales, 21, of 3024 Lamar Circle was arrested at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 in Palacios on warrants for two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact. He was processed there.

City Incidents

Property

A $120 bicycle was reported stolen in the 2900 block of Tina Circle sometime between May 28 and June 5. The report was filed July 2.

Burglars struck a home in the 300 block of West Alfred between 4:30 and 6 p.m. Monday, July 1 taking electronics, a welding machine, raw meat, a rake and shovel. Loss is estimated at $950.

An impact drill and its accessories were reported stolen from Samaripa Oil Field Services, 2855 N. Mechanic, on June 26. Loss is estimated at $420. The report was filed July 2.

Monika Lou Davis, 37, of 1405 Ruth was booked at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27 on warrants for criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance.

Roxanne Marie Porter, 36, of 1314 Back in Columbus was booked at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, June 27 on warrants for abandoning or endangering a child – criminal negligence and possession of a controlled substance.

Luciano Ambrocio Rodriguez, 25, of 1575 CR 401 was arrested by state troopers at 10:06 p.m. Monday, July 1 for driving while intoxicated second offense and driving while license invalid with a previous conviction. Processed, he posted $3,500 bond and was released the next day. Once there, he posted $3,500 in bonds and was released the same day.

Valerie Raeann Delgado, 21, of 349 Lakeview Lane was booked at 10:17 a.m. Thursday, June 27 on a warrant for criminal mischief.

Armando Duran Padilla, 55, of 1208 Thrift was booked at 6:42 a.m. Thursday, June 27 on a warrant for theft. Processed, he posted a $2,000 bond and was released the same day.

Kory Brown Didear, 19, of 6110 FM 442 in Boling was arrested by Wharton County sheriff’s deputies at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 on an Anderson County warrant for false entry/failure to enter in tax records. Processed, he posted a $10,000 bond and was released the same day.

Nicole Castro, 31, of 812 Ward in Edna was booked at 1:41 a.m. Wednesday, July 3 on a Jackson County warrant for harassment.
