WHARTON – Wharton County Junior College officials will host their second ground breaking of the year Thursday, this one making the renovation and expansion of a main campus structure.

Trustees have approved adding 18,000 square feet to the already existing 34,000 square feet in the Johnson Health Occupations Center. With renovation to the 1981 structure, the work is estimated at $6.5 million not including equipment and furnishings.
