ECISD tightens security on accounts

With two thefts in the past six years, El Campo ISD administrators say the district has taken proper steps to ensure accounting practices are tightened on all campuses and that student and taxpayer money is safe.

“These were both isolated incidents,” Superintendent Mark Pool said Thursday. “We have gone back and put procedures in place to make incidents like this a lot more difficult to accomplish. We have focused in on our internal accounting controls and made sure everyone is aware of the procedures.”
