Devontay Deshon Martin, 21, of 111 E. Third was arrested at 11:20 a.m. Monday, May 21 for possession of a restricted smoking material after officers went to his home to serve warrants for family violence, failure to appear (bail jumping) and a motion to revoke probation – driving while intoxicated. Processed, he was transferred to the Wharton County Jail the next day.

Property

A warrant for burglary of a habitation was served against Victoria Ann Garcia, 41, of 304 Lundy at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, May 22 while she was already at the Wharton County Jail.

Aurelio Olivares, 27, of 482 CR 362 was booked at 5:55 a.m. Tuesday, May 22 on a warrant for abandoning or endangering a child - criminal negligence and violation of a bond or protective order.

An assault report came in from the grounds of El Campo High School, 600 W. Norris, around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 22.

Police are investigating the report of a shot fired in the 500 block of East West around 1 a.m. Wednesday, May 23. No injuries were reported.

Andrew James Gusman, 32, of 428 Bolton in Wharton was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 1:12 a.m. Wednesday, May 21 for driving while intoxicated and parked blocking a handicap access ramp. Processed, he posted $2,843 in bonds and was released the same day.

Daniel Edward Mowels, 25, of 611 E. Belle in Wharton was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 1:12 a.m. Wednesday, May 23 for possession of a controlled substance. Processed, he posted a $2,500 bond and was released the same day.

Property

Ashley Diana Lopez, 29, of 310 Newport was booked on warrants at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, May 20 for four counts of forgery with an elderly victim and one count of theft. Processed, she posted $41,500 in bonds and was released the next day.

Noe Delbosque Villarreal, 25, of 111 W. Copano in Mathis was booked at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 22 on a warrant for burglary of a building.

Jesus Cantero, 20, of 309 E. Watt was booked at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23 for a hit-and-run.

Lisa Marie Perez Gaona, 26, of 501 W. Willow, Apt. 34, in Wharton was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 23 for carrying a weapon in a prohibited place and possession of a controlled substance as well as Wharton police warrants for speeding, failure to appear and driving while license invalid. Processed, she posted $11,297 in bonds and was released the same day.

Other

Glenn Dewayne Ivy, 40, of 359 Siner in Matagorda, was booked at 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 23 on a warrant for publishing or threatening to publish intimate visual material. Processed, he posted a $20,000 bond and was released the same day.

Detrick Antonn Morris, 41, of 825 Second in Sealy was booked at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23 for evading arrest with a vehicle and a parole violation.

Michael Wayne Sosa, 32, of 605 Rice was booked at 7:13 a.m. Thursday, May 24 on a warrant for evading arrest with a vehicle.
