Arthur Lee Felder III, 25, of 1313 Short was arrested at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 on a warrant for theft of a firearm. Processed, he was transferred to the Wharton County Jail the next day.

Brandon Dwayne Stephens, 25, of 203 Mayfield was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3 for assault family violence after police were called to a disturbance on Alice Street and a warrant for failure to appear. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day.

Camilo Rodriguez, 35, of 611 Bruns was arrested at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5 for assault family violence with a previous conviction. Processed, he was transferred to county jail. The next day he was served a warrant at 6 p.m. for sexual assault of a child

A Kubota skid steer loader valued at $50,000 was stolen from Rioux Hardware, 111 E. Jackson, sometime between 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 and 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3. Also taken was an 18-foot trailer. Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area should contact police at 543-5311 or the West Wharton County Crime Stoppers at 543-8477.

The theft of a $500 cell phone was reported directly at the El Campo police station, 1011 West Loop. The crime took place around 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3.

El Campo police are investigating two cases of sex offenders failing to comply with their duty to register.

Property

A burglary was reported at El Campo Cycle Center, 28266 U.S. 59, on Thursday, Nov. 29. Details were unavailable by presstime.

Deputies are investigating a report of vandalism in the 3800 block of CR 454, according to a report filed Nov. 30. A $1,200 set of battery cables were damaged.

A $450 iPhone was reported stolen in the 1400 block of CR 451, according to a report filed Dec. 1.

Chrystyl Jea Niece Buckner-Stafford, 23, of 302 Banbury Lane in Victoria was arrested by state troopers at 2 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 for possession of marijuana and a Victoria County warrant for selling alcohol to minors. Processed, she posted $1,000 in bonds and was released the same day.

Elizabeth Lenora Freitas, 31, of 914 Lily was arrested by Wharton PD at 7:13 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 for possession of marijuana and a warrant for failure to identify.

Emilio Loredo Jr., 20, of 1489 Flora was booked at 6:47 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Jacob William Schulz, 23, of 17212 FM 1300 in Louise was booked at 9:06 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 on warrants for evading arrest with a vehicle, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor DWI.

Dontray Jermaine Williams, 36, of 1459 Thrift was booked at 7:11 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 on warrants for three counts of possession of a controlled substance and single counts of evading arrest with a vehicle, failure to identify and driving with license invalid with a previous conviction.

Jonathan Lee Gaona, 43, of 715 E. Mullberry in Wharton was booked at 9:08 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 on a warrant for criminal non-support.

Jesse Wayne Downey, 40, of 611 Mary in Shiner was booked at 1:43 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 on a warrant for contempt of court – disobedience of a court order.
