City Incidents


A jacket was reported stolen on the El Campo High School grounds, 600 W, Norris, on Nov. 17. Loss is estimated at $130.

An estimated $525 was lost in what appears to be credit or debit card abuse on the grounds of El Campo’s Walmart, 3413 West Loop. The crime took place Tuesday, Nov. 21.

Violence, weapons

Police are investigating a report of cruelty to animals in the 1300 block of Donna Drive. A cat was either shot at or hit with a bullet on Sunday, Dec. 10.

An incident of deadly conduct was reported near the intersection of Fahrenthold and East Church on Monday, Dec. 11. The incident involves two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

County Incidents


Caliber Home Loans reported almost $17,000 damage done to the interior of a home in the 3900 block of FM 2546 on Monday, Nov. 30. Doors, flooring and appliances were damaged.

Alcohol, drugs

Leroy Nelson Bryant, 59, of 409 W. Monseratte was booked at 6:56 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 for tampering with evidence, obstruction or retaliation, driving while intoxicated, expired registration, failure to maintain financial responsibility and no driver’s license.

Desmond Dewayne Williams, 25, of 2710 Nightengale in Victoria was booked at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 on warrant for two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts of evading arrest with a vehicle, three counts of possession of a controlled substance and a single count of possession of marijuana.

Jermaine Jarrod Perkins, 26, of 16931 FM 102 in Egypt was booked at 10:42 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13 on warrants for evading arrest and two counts of possession of marijuana.


David Lee Steel, 47, of 2828 FM 49 in Mineola was booked at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13 on a bench warrant for theft.

Jorge Juan Gutierrez Jr., 20, of 706 E. Jackson was booked at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 on a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.


Latroy Keith Daugherty, 35, of 6565 Spencer Hwy., Apt. 201, in Pasadena was booked at 9:55 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11 on a warrant for criminal nonsupport.
