Esmerelda Cano, 36, of 1616 Roehl was arrested at 7:46 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17 for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped on West Fifth. Police seized crack cocaine and two glass pipes from his vehicle. Cano was processed and transferred to the Wharton County Jail the next day. On there, his name is listed as Esmerelda Solis Cano.

Star Ayanna Butler, 27, of Houston was arrested at 11:37 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 for driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to the report of a reckless driver on U.S. 59. After her Buick was stopped, police seized marijuana and cigarette wraps. Butler was processed and transferred to county jail the next day. Once there, she posted $4,500 in bonds and was released the next day.

Orlando Guevara-Martinez, 26, of 202 Sonata Court was arrested at 3:03 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 19 for driving while intoxicated after being stopped on Point West Drive. He was processed and transferred to county jail later that morning. Once there, he posted a $2,500 bond and was released the same day.

Ruby Estrada Montalvo, 39, of 605 Empire was arrested at 7:27 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17 on two warrants for theft by check and one for failure to appear – theft by check. Processed, she was transferred to county jail the next day. Once there, she posted $5,900 in bonds and was released the next day.

Violence, weapons

Jasper Valdez III, 41, of 302 Shropshire was arrested at 8:57 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 for assault family violence after a disturbance at his home. No injuries were reported. Valdez posted bond and was released the next day.

Property

A break-in at Mikeska’s Bar-B-Q & Catering, 22730 U.S. 59, around 3 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 is under investigation by El Campo Police. Thieves reportedly entered the building through a window, broke through a door and stole cash.

Derek Edward Debowski, 31, of Corpus Christi faces a driving while intoxicated charge after being arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 5:25 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17. Processed, he posted a $2,000 bond and was released the next day.

Patricia Ann Garcia-Martinez, 33, of 1006 Depot was booked on Wednesday, Nov. 18 related to Oct. 3 charges of two counts of manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance, abandoning or endangering a child – criminal negligence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Pete Garza Herrera, 21, of 803 Texas in Boling was arrested by state troopers at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 for driving while intoxicated. Processed, he posted a $2,000 bond and was released the same day.
