Christopher Joseph Ortiz, 18, of 2001 Ave. F was arrested at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 for possession of marijuana in a drug free zone and possession of drug paraphernalia after police came to his home. He was processed and transferred to the Wharton County Jail the next day. Once there, he posted $2,200 in bonds and was released the same day.
Frank Lewis Davis, 40, of Houston was arrested at 7:53 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23 for driving while intoxicated second offense after being stopped on Hoskins Broadway. Davis was processed and transferred to county jail the next day.
Elijah Abdual Ford, 26, of 3447 Novasad in Wharton was arrested at 9:23 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 26 for possession of marijuana after being stopped on U.S. 59. Ford was processed and transferred to county jail the next day.
Kenneth Ray McClain Jr., 21, of 1314 Ella was arrested at 2:26 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27 for no bicycle registration and possession of marijuana. Police were dispatched to the report of a prowler in the El Campo Village, 1185 Olivia, and encountered McClain. He was processed and transferred to county jail later that morning.
Mark Anthony Garcia, 26, listed as homeless in El Campo, was arrested at 11:34 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 for theft with two or more previous convictions, criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant for failure to appear on a theft charge. Police were dispatched to H-E-B, 306 N. Mechanic, to a criminal trespass call and found Garcia. There, he stands accused of stealing beer. Garcia was processed and transferred to county jail the next day. Once there, Garica is listed as living at 1610 Mechanic.

Identity theft was reported at Texas Gulf Federal Credit Union, 1313 West Loop, on Nov. 22. The crime reportedly took place between Nov. 11 and 21.
A motor vehicle was reported stolen on Nov. 22. The crime report was filed directly at the police station, 1011 West Loop.
Burglars struck Mr. Money Pawn, Gun & Jewelry, 301 N. Mechanic, around 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22. Breaking through a door, the thief or thieves stole two fire arms valued at almost $4,000 collectively. Marijuana was found on the scene, apparently left there by the crook.
Police are investigating a reported threat in the 500 block of East Hillje between 2 and 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23.

Juan Alfonso Briones-Venegas, 42, of 305 E. Sutherland in Ganado was arrested at 7:43 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 for driving while intoxicated. Processed, he posted bond and was released on Saturday, Nov. 25.
David Gonzalez, 63, of 18 Serena was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 6:20 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24 for driving while intoxicated third or more offense. Processed, he posted bond on Sunday, Nov. 26.
Victor Martinez, 35, of 2878 CR 463 was arrested by Wharton police at 3:22 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24 for driving while intoxicated. Processed, he posted a $1,500 bond and he was released the next day.
Kenneth James Wilson, 33, of 511 CR 213 in Wharton was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 5:25 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24 for false drug test using a falsification device.
Jafer Reyes-Castillo, 27, of 342 Batts in Spanish Camp was arrested by state troopers at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 26 for driving while intoxicated and no driver’s license. Processed, he posted $2,000 in bonds and was released the same day.
Taylon Malone, 18, of 6146 FM 1161 West in Spanish Camp was booked at 7:14 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21 on warrants for cattle theft, criminal mischief, cruelty to livestock animals and criminal trespass. Processed, he posted $64,500 in bonds and was released the same day.
Kedren Deshun Riggins, 19, of 201 Olive was booked at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 on a warrant for burglary of a habitation. Processed, he posed a $20,000 bond and was released the same day.
Sarah Claudia Perez, 25, of 405 Oscar was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for resisting arrest and obstructing a highway. Processed, she was released the same day on a personal recognizance bond.
Mario Alberto Martinez, 26, of 112-428 Sun/Raymond Road in Boling was arrested at 9:26 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23 for interference with public duties.
