Plea bargain agreements

(Note: All cases below are felonies unless otherwise noted.)

Those pleading guilty and accepting punishment include:

• Michael George Bauer Jr., 32, of 311 Ave. I in El Campo for theft. He was placed on five years probation for the September 2016 offense. The judge also ordered Bauer to serve 180 days in county jail, pay $933.87 restitution and write a letter of apology.

Bauer received credit for the full jail time already served.

• Blake Jamal Bell, 29, of 903 CR 263 in Eagle Lake for possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to three years in prison for the January 2017 offense.

Bell received credit for 237 days already served.

In a separate court action, Bell’s conviction for evading arrest with a motor vehicle in August 2014 was adjudicated and he was sentenced to a concurrent three years in jail. For this time, Bell received credit for 308 days already served.

• Jamie Lynn Brown, 41, of 3365 N. Walker in Cleveland for theft with two or more previous convictions and possession of a controlled substance. Brown was placed on five years probation for the May 2016 offenses and ordered to pay $46.99 restitution, perform 100 hours community service and pay a $100 fine.

Brown was required to serve 57 days in county jail to receive probation, but received credit for the full time already served.

• Jadrian Tyler Bryant, 23, of 1415 W. Norris in El Campo for burglary of a habitation. He was placed on four years deferred probation for the June 2017 crime, ordered to perform 100 hours community service, pay a $300 fine and $125 restitution and write a letter of apology.

With the deferred probation, the conviction won’t be held against Bryant if he is able to complete all terms.

Bryan must complete anti-theft training as well.

• Vernell Lee Caesar, 25, of 709 W. Main in El Campo for possession of a controlled substance. He was placed on 10 years probation for the March 2017 crime on the condition he serve 180 days in county jail. The judge also ordered Caesar to perform 180 community service hours, obtain counseling and pay $1,700 restitution.Caesar received credit for the full jail time already served.

• Frank Fry, 42, of 530 CR 144 in Wharton for driving while intoxicated third or more offense. He was placed on seven years probation for the March 2017 offense and fined $1,500. Fry will be required to have an interlock device on his vehicle requiring an alcohol breath test to start the vehicle.

• Marcus Deondre Harris, 38, of 3271 Shaver in Pasadena for possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to five years in prison for the January 2017 offense, time which will run concurrently with a Colorado County offense. Harris received credit for 158 days already served.

• Alejandro Alex Lopez, 21, of 211 Sentinel in El Campo for assault of a public servant. He was placed on two years deferred probation for the October 2015 offense. The judge also fined Lopez $250 and ordered him to perform 60 hours community service.

• Fausto Anthony Mata, 21, of 612 E. Mulberry in Wharton for burglary of a building. He was placed on five years probation for the May 2015 offense.

Mata also pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery in August 2001 and possession of a controlled substance as well as having a prohibited substance in a correctional facility and manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance in September 2016. He was sentenced to 10 years prison for the drug charges with the possibility of shock probation in four months. For the robbery, Mata was placed on a concurrent 10 years deferred probation, ordered to perform 200 hours community service and pay a $500 fine. Misdemeanor charges of assault family violence and possession of marijuana were dismissed.

He received credit for 19 days already served.
