Allan Izaguirares Flores, 22, of 303 Sentinel was arrested at 12:35 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession after being stopped on the West Loop. Processed, he was transferred to the Wharton County Jail the next day. Once there, he posted $1,200 in bonds and was released the same day.

Brian Leon Shorter Jr., 18, of 301 Sentinel was arrested at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 for possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped on South Washington. Processed, he was brought before City Judge Michelle Roy on the misdemeanor charge. Pleading guilty, he paid a fine and was released.

Michael George Bauer Jr., 33, of 813 N. Spanish Camp Road in Wharton was arrested at 3:59 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12 for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia as well as issuance of a bad check and failure to appear after being stopped on East Jackson. Officers recovered a baggie of methamphetamines and a glass pipe. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day. Once there, he posted $5,200 in bonds and was released the next day.

Megan Dawn Sandberg, 31, of 813 N. Spanish Campo Road in Wharton was arrested at 3:59 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12 for possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear. Processed, she was held 48 hours and then released.

Guillermo Chavez Velaz-quez, 48, of 201 Sonata Court was arrested at 1 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger after being stopped on North Mechanic. Processed, he was transferred to county jail later that day.

Andy Silva Carranza, 63, of 613 Lundy was arrested at 7:32 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 for driving while intoxicated second offense after being stopped on North Wharton. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day.

Dru Denton Wallace, 23, of 309 Sentinel was arrested at 11:39 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 for marijuana possession after being stopped on Oscar. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day. Processed, he posted a $1,000 bond and was released the same day.

Remigio Aguillon Martinez Jr., 37, of 59 Wanda Lane was arrested at 12:51 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 for driving while intoxicated third or more offense, no driver’s license and running a red light after being stopped on East First. Processed, he was transferred to county jail later that day. At the jail, his name is listed as Remigio Martinez-Aguillon II. Processed, he posted $10,400 in bonds and was released the same day.

Jack Allan Simmons, 62, of 1205 Preston in Corpus Christi was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 for possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication.

Violence, weapons

Eduardo Antonio Ruiz, 25, of 914 Main in Palacios was arrested at 1:06 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12 for family violence causing injury after police were dispatched to a disturbance on Sue Street. Processed, he was transferred to county jail later that morning. Once there, he posted a $2,500 bond and was released the same day.

City Incidents

Property

A storage unit at ABC Self Storage, 117 Turek, was broken into around 6:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8. The lock was broken, but information on stolen items was not available as of presstime.

Police are investigating a $400 handgun gone missing in the 2700 block of Myatt Lane sometime between Feb. 1 and Oct. 10 when the report was filed.

A shoplifter walked off with a $349 smartwatch at Walmart, 3413 West Loop, sometime between 9:20 a.m. and 11:20 p.m. on Sept. 24. The report was filed on Oct. 11.

A hit-and-run was reported in the 600 block of East Jackson around 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

A Pace America 20-foot trailer was reported stolen from Mark’s Machine Shop, 1101 Blue Creek Road, between 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 and 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12. Loss is estimated at $5,500.

Burglars struck a vehicle in the 300 block of Avenue A between 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12 and 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. A Smith & Wesson revolver valued at $600 was stolen.

Another vehicle burglary was reported in the 800 block of Peach around 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. A purse and its contents were stolen.

County Incidents

Property

A theft was reported in the 1600 block of FM 1163 on Oct. 11.

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a motor vehicle theft in the 300 block of Margaret and the burglary of a motor vehicle which took place in the 300 block of Alene on Oct. 13.

Vandals struck in the 1400 block of Mary on Oct. 14 and stole a firearm in the 500 block of Alene.

Adam Christopher Matula, 32, of 1817 Chapel Heights in Wharton was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 for possession of a controlled substance.

Bishop Taylor Randolph, 58, of 103 CR 2092 in Liberty was arrested by WCSO at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.

Jacobi Rene Watkins, 21, of 8410 Como in San Antonio was arrested at 9:39 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 by the Wharton County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office for marijuana possession.
