Julie Ann Garcia, 25, listed as homeless in El Campo, was arrested at 1:13 a.m. Friday, March 8 on a warrant for probation violation – criminal mischief, marijuana possession and terroristic threat against a public servant. Processed, she was transferred to the Wharton County Jail later that morning.

An El Campo Middle School student was arrested around 10:40 a.m. Friday, March 8 for possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone while on the campus, 4010 FM 2765.

Nicholas Fredrick Flowers, 31, of 409 Merchant was arrested at 1:29 a.m. Saturday, March 9 for driving while intoxicated after being stopped in the 1700 block of South Mechanic. Processed, he was transferred to county jail later that day. Once there, he posted a $2,010 bond and was released the same day.

Patrick Sanchez, 30, of 408 Bluebonnet was arrested at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, March 9 for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance after being stopped in the 400 block of Oscar. Police seized a syringe which appeared to be loaded with a methamphetamine. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day.

A teenager was arrested in the 3200 block of Myatt Lane around 5 a.m. Sunday, March 10 for possession of marijuana after police were dispatched to the report of a prowler in the area.

Gregory Dandre Gary, 27, of 506 Lundy was arrested at 7:42 p.m. Monday, March 11 for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped about a block from his home. Police seized marijuana, a vape pen, a meth pipe and digital scale. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day.

Aaron Anthony Escamilla, 18, of 810 Empire was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Friday, March 8 on a warrant for probation violation – theft of a firearm. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day. Once there, misdemeanor warrants for minor in possession of tobacco and failure to appear were served.

Antonio Sanchez Jr., 35, of 905 Franklin was arrested at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 7 on a warrant for assault family violence with a previous conviction. He stands accused of harming a family member on March 2. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day. Once there, he posted a $15,000 bond and was released the next day.

Kedren Deshaun Riggins, 20, of 201 Olive was arrested at 1 p.m. Friday, March 8 on a warrant for assault. He stands accused of harming a person in the 300 block of Greely on Feb. 12. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day. Once there, he posted a $2,250 bond and was released the next day.

Winston Roy Owens, 64, of 1406 Short was arrested at 4:29 p.m. Friday, March 8 for family violence causing injury and possession of drug paraphernalia following a disturbance at his home. Police seized a crack pipe during the investigation. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day.

John Polk III, 18, of 302 E. Strand was arrested at 11:55 a.m. Monday, March 11 on a warrant for assault causing injury. He stands accused of harming a person in the 300 block of August on Feb. 19. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day. Once there, he posted a $5,000 bond and was released the same day.

Harvey Joe Stokes, 60, of 501 Kerney was arrested at 6:48 p.m. Saturday, March 9 on a warrant for parole violation. Processed, he was transferred to county jail the next day.

City Incidents

Property

A $1,000 trash bin enclosure was damaged on the grounds of Speedy Stop, 502 N. Mechanic, around 3:40 p.m. Friday, March 8 during a hit-and-run crash.

A hit-and-run was also reported on the grounds of H-E-B, 306 N. Mechanic, around 1:15 p.m. Monday, March 11. An estimated $150 damage was done to a vehicle.

An estimated $15,000 cash was reported stolen from a customer on the grounds of Walmart, 3413 West Loop, on Monday, March 11.

A hit-and-run was reported in the 1400 block of Wright around midnight Wednesday, March 13. A power pole was struck causing an estimated $200 damage.

Violence, weapons

Police are investigating the report of a child harmed in the 1600 block of Able on Tuesday, March 12.

Two reports of people violating protective orders are under investigation – one on North Mechanic and the other on Franklin on Sunday, March 10.

Michael David Pettay, 38, of 7719 W. Bernard in Hungerford was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 5:52 a.m. Friday, March 8 for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance, endangering a child – criminal negligence and possession of marijuana. Processed, he posted $45,000 in bonds and was released the next day.

Juan Dedios Garcia III, 23, of 4988 FM 755 North in Rio Grande City was arrested by state troopers at 7:58 p.m. Saturday, March 9 for unlawfully carrying a weapon and marijuana possession, Processed, he posted $3,250 in bond and was released the next day.

Denise Ivonne Rodriguez, 27, of 6210 Larchbrook in Houston was arrested by WCSO at 11:08 p.m. Friday, March 8 for driving while intoxicated second offense. Processed, she posted a $2,500 bond and was released the next day.

Gregorio Escobar, 41, of 7313 Market was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 7:10 p.m. Sunday, March 10 for driving while intoxicated.

Zane Christopher Smith, 20, of 207 Mick in Boling was arrested by deputies at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, March 10 for possession of marijuana in a drug free zone. Processed, he posted a $2,200 bond and was released the same day.

Bruce Earl Calhoun, 51, of 6923 FM 1096 in Wharton was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 5:36 p.m. Monday, March 11 for driving while license invalid, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to maintain financial responsibility. Processed, he posted $2,500 in bonds and was released the next day.

Jessie Lorenzo Rodriguez, 35, of 708 Lilly was booked at 10:07 p.m. Monday, March 11 on a warrant for driving while intoxicated third or more offense. Processed, he posted a $10,000 bond and was released the same day.

Jarrin Donte Henderson, 22, of 1209 Sam was booked at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 on a warrant for marijuana possession.

Leon Alexander Rodriguez, 20, of 2100 Grapefruit, No. 1006, in Brownsville was arrested by state troopers at 2:31 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Antonio Cirilo Carrilo, 45, of 17639 Glenwolf in Houston was arrested by DPS at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 for driving while intoxicated third or more offense.

Juan Gonzalez Sanchez, 36, of 503 Fifth in Louise was arrested by WCSO at 4:23 a.m. Monday, March 11 for assault family violence causing injury. Processed, he posted a $5,000 bond and was released the same day.

Latricia Annette Robinson, 42, of 4171 CR 161 in Wharton was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 12 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Processed, she posted a $25,000 bond and was released the same day.

Anthony Nuncio, 24, of 608 Market was booked at 6:35 a.m. Thursday, March 14 on warrants for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, assault causing injury, no driver’s license, violating promise to appear, failure to maintain financial responsibility, expired registration, two counts of failure to appear and a single count of disorderly conduct.

Frank Mendiola Jr., 32, of 703 Marionette was booked at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 on a warrant for evading arrest.

Zachary Jabe Riley, 42, of 1301 Leveridge in East Bernard was booked at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 for unlawful use of a communication device and stalking.
